Diagnosis
The SAP system is attempting to determine the model for cost-of-living allowance levels (COLA model) from table T5D7J (Control of BDA and COLA Relevance (Basic Pay)) based on the following parameters:
- Pay scale key: (country grouping, pay scale type, pay scale area)
- Grouping of employee subgroups for collective agreement provision (pay scale indicator):
- Action type:
- Start date:
Since no COLA model is defined for this combination of parameters, the SAP system cannot determine the cost-of-living allowance level for the employee.

Procedure
The system settings may contain an error. Check the pay scale data in the Type and Area fields. If these values are correct, contact your system administration.
Procedure for System Administration
Check view V_T5D7J (Models to determine COL allowance and pay seniority (PSG)) and add the missing entry.
