Diagnosis
The automatically created account number does not conform to the country-specific standard for account numbers, either because of the length or because of non-numeric characters or blanks.
Procedure
Check the number range interval '01' responsible for automatically issuing external account numbers, by choosing Payment transactions -> Settings -> Environment -> Bank Area -> Number Ranges.
