No initial stock exists for stock posting date &1

Diagnosis

The system cannot determine the opening stock for the stock month that contains the stock posting date in the following situations:

  • You did not carry out the initial stock recording
  • You have not carried out stock recording yet for the month of the stock posting date
  • No stock postings exist in the system for your selection criteria

System Response

The system responds with a warning message.

Procedure

To the overview of opening and closing stocks, do the following:

  • Change the selection criteria.
  • You can use stock recording to enter the closing stocks from the previous month. This automatically defines the opening stock for the month of the stock posting date. To record the stocks, run the program to Add Closing Stock.
