Procedure
The Log Level for the Application Log can be set in two ways:
- The administrator can set a global log level in the IMG Activity Set the global log level
- In addition, the user can set an individual log level in the parameter Set/Get parameter '/IWFND/SUP_LOG_LEVEL' through the IMG activity Set the log level for a user.
The parameter can have the following values:
- All: in this case all messages of type 'Information', 'Warning' and 'Error' will be saved to the Application Log.
- Step Completion Information: in this case messages of type 'Step Completion Information, 'Warning' and 'Error' will be saved to the Application Log. Messages of type ' Step Initiation Information' will be omited.
- Warning and Error: in this case messages of type 'Warning' and 'Error' will be saved to the Application Log. Messages of type ' Step Initiation Information' and 'Step Completion Information' will be omited.
- Error: in this case messages of type and 'Error' will be saved to the Application Log. Messages of type 'Warning' , ' Step Initiation Information' and 'Step Completion Information' will be omited. Important: in this case the request can contain Warnings which are not displayed.
Both settings are evaluated in the following way:
- The global log level defines the lowest log level.
- The user can raise this default level to an individual level.
- But the user cannot decrease the default log level.
