Definition

Use

The period of adjustment is used to define a period in which planned independent requirements are not included in the net requirements calculation. The period of adjustment is calculated in workdays.

If you have set one of the indicators for adjustment and maintained a period of adjustment, the planning run does not create any new order proposals for planned independent requirements in the period of adjustment. This means that only customer requirements are relevant for the planning run in this period.

Procedure

Dependencies

You can use the indicator Adjustment of planned independent requirements to define whether the period of adjustment is to be calculated from the current date into the future or into the past.

Examples

The MRP controller plans for this month and next month. The existing planned independent requirements (MRP element VP-BEDS) are then partly used up by sales orders received for the next month. Since the remaining planned independent requirements are not to be produced, you can define the period of adjustment as, for example, 22 workdays (1 month) into the future. No new order proposals are then created for the remaining planned independent requirements within this 22 day period (always calculated from the current date) in the planning run.
