The creation indicators you enter for scheduling agreements in the initial screen of the planning run is only valid for a material, if:

  • the SAP system finds no creation indicator via the MRP group, or
  • if the creation indicator has not been set for the plant you want to plan.

If creation indicators have already been maintained for scheduling agreements in Customizing for MRP, the following is valid: If the creation indicators have been maintained per plant, this value overrules any entry in the initial screen of the total planning run.

  • If a material has been assigned an MRP group which contains a creation indicator, the system will use the creation indicator recorded in the MRP group for the planning run. The indicator per plant and the entry in the initial screen of the planning run are then ignored.
  • If no indicator has been maintained per plant, and no MRP group with creation indicator has been assigned to the material, then the system uses the entry in the initial screen of the planning run.

The system always uses the creation indicator that you maintain in the initial screen of the planning run. The creation indicator that is maintained in the MRP group is not taken into account.
