Definition
Element of the authorization system.
An authorization specifies one or more permissible values for the fields combined in an object. The system uses these values to check whether a user is authorized to execute a particular action.

Procedure
Enter the name of the authorization you want to create or maintain.
The identification of an authorization consists of the authorization name and the name of the object it refers to.

Use
Specifies the values allowed for the fields defined in the object. The system uses these values to check a user's access authorization.
Enter an authorization for each object. If you want to assign several authorization to an object, you can specify an object several times with a different authorization in each case.
- You can enter an existing authorization, or you can list and choose the authorizations defined for an object.
- You can enter a new name for an authorization that does not exist yet. You have to define and activate the new authorization before activating this profile.

Procedure
No restriction: Leave the field empty.
Only certain authorizations: Enter the name of an authorization.
For the generic search, enter the beginning of a name. All authorizations which match the search term are selected.

Enter the name of the authorization you want to display.
Generic search: Enter a character string. All values are displayed that begin with the specified character string.
