Definition

If this indicator is selected, media product master data is synchronized with the product master in Periodical Sales and Distribution, so that when media product master data (media product family, media product, media issue) is maintained, the periodical product master data (publication, edition, issue) is also maintained in the background.

If product synchronization is active, the objects in the periodical product master can no longer be maintained as independent objects. Products are always then maintained in the media product master.

If the indicator is not selected, the IS-M product master data is maintained in the periodical product master as publications, editions and issues.
