Use
You can skip the dunning level manually from the dunning history or automatically by executing a dunning level. A dunning level is skipped automatically depending on the settings in Customizing if the days in arrears for a higher dunning level have already been reached. The system only skips the next dunning level that is not optional. Required levels are not skipped.
This procedure is only useful if a dunning run is carried out late, for example, after a system loss, but the dunning procedure is not to be protracted due to this time delay.
Example
If a dunning level is marked as optional, and has the same number of arrears days and amount limits as the next dunning level, the dunning level is always skipped.
Further information
Optional dunning levels can also be used in connection with dunning incoming correspondence. There, dunning levels marked as optional can be used to send reminders by specifying reminder days.
