Definition

Set this indicator if you want to start the program several times in parallel. This can improve performance if you have a large quantity of data to transfer. The precondition for parallel legacy data transfer is external assignment of main numbers.

The assignment of main numbers has to be external. Therefore, choose a number range in the asset classes/company codes concerned that uses external number assignement.

• Before the legacy data transfer, you have to divide the input file into several new, smaller input files that are approximately the same size. However, you have to make each split at a point in the file before the creation of a new main number (identified by AS91 in the BALTD-TCODE field in the sequential input record).

Parallel processing on several application servers makes it possible to save additional time during the legacy data transfer.
