Definition

The "relevant for update" indicator controls whether the values of an item in assigned contracts should be updated.

If an item is relevant to the contract, the system assigns a billing dataset that belongs to the item to a contract as required. The "relevant for update" indicator now controls whether the value from the billing dataset should also be updated in the assigned contracts.

Examples

A correction item is created for a complaint item. This should be relevant to the contract, meaning that the item may be assigned to a contract if required, but no update of the corresponding values should be performed in the contract.
