Definition

If this indicator is selected, the issues in the issue sequence are always sorted chronologically and the following processes (which require a chronological issue sequence) are possible:

  • Search for orders in date intervals
  • Creation of certain data such as fixing intervals in quantity planning or suspensions of quantity planning in the business partner (POS planning calendar)
  • Contract data: You can check the validity of a contract with regard to an issue sequence

If this indicator is not selected, these processes are not possible.

Note:

  • This indicator is always selected for issue sequences that are synchronized with Periodical Sales and Distribution and this setting cannot be changed. (These issue sequences are always in chronological order.)
  • You can maintain the indicator for issue sequences that are not synchronized with Periodical Sales and Distribution. (Initial publication dates and repetition of the same publication dates do not interfere with the chronological order.)
