Definition
You must ensure that you set this indicator if the "from" currency is entered as the base currency in the exchange rate conversion table. If this indicator is not set, you must enter base currencies as a "to" currency. This indicator should only be used if a base currency can be used for the exchange rate type.
Example
The exchange rates of EMU member States will be fixed as of a certain date at which point exchange rates will always be quoted euro -> national currency and not vice versa. This indicator allows you to manage currency conversions that use the euro as the base currency more easily.
