Definition
If all the checks in a particular lot have been archived, that lot is blocked for changes of any type and consequently reserved for retrieval at a later date. If the number interval in question needs to be used again, the lot must be released; this has the effect of returning the number of checks field to its initial value. This then precludes any later retrieval of the old archive data for this check lot.
