Documentation
Use
Setting this indicator has the effect that in correspondence printing, spool requests are summarized at job level. As standard, one spool request is created for each processing interval.
The parameter in question is necessary, but is not sufficient for the summary. If you set the indicator New Spool Request in the print parameters when you start the correspondence printout, the spool request is created for each interval - for some correspondence types at the individual correspondence level.
Example
In a correspondence print run, 400 processing intervals are processed by 12 jobs.
If there is a printout for each processing interval, if you do not set the indicator, 400 spool requests arise. If you set the indicator, there are only 12 spool requests.
