If the planning versions of the source and target planning steps are assigned to different planning hierarchy versions, the disaggregation behavior of the planning data during planning step linking needs to be defined more closely. It is recommendable to use the planning hierarchy of the target planning step as the defining hierarchy (this matches the default setting of all four indicators). This is because in manual planning, the planning data disaggregated by planning step linking in the target planning step is generally compared with the planning data from the target planning hierarchy.
Only planning data, which has entries in the planning hierarchy is disaggregated. The hierarchy for the rough planning levels in the source planning step is read. If the indicator is set, the entries (for example, proportional factors) from the hierarchy tables of the planning hierarchy version that is assigned to the planning version of the target planning step are used. If the indicator is not set, the hierarchy version of the source planning step planning version is used.
