Definition

This data field contains a key that represents the item used as a basis for the credit standing check.

According to § 18 of the German Banking Act, a bank must ask the borrowers, who loan more than 100 thousand DEM, to disclose their financial status. Testified year-end closings, financial budgets, capital spending plans and sales plans as well as liquidity calculations usually fulfill the requirements for this tangible credit standing check. Income statements and inspection of financial circumstances usually provide the basis for a check for (private) individuals.
