Definition

Indicator in a flow for a disbursement which specifies that the amount is withheld from the disbursement or is deducted.

When the posting is made, the system automatically generates the withholding amount which clears the debit position.

Both items are logically linked to each other via a payment block and cleared at a later date.

If you want to use an alternative method for specific flow types, you need to specify this in the flow types.

However an amount can only usually be withheld for incidental expenses which the main borrower has to pay. Therefore, if an alternative payee has been entered in the condition items, an amount cannot be withheld.
