Definition

There are parallel fields for both the external reason code and for the internal reason code in the individual payment advice items and payment advice subitems.

The external reason code is conveyed by the customer and is otherwise not known in the SAP System.

The internal reason code is known in the SAP System and assigned attributes.

The various options for determining internal reason codes from external reason codes are called versions, proposed from the master record and entered in the payment advice header.

You define the versions and make the assignments in the configuration menu.
