Documentation
Definition
Key which determines the various production techniques according to which a material can be manufactured.
The production version determines the following:
- the BOM alternative for a BOM explosion
- the task list type, the task list group and the task list group counter for allocation to task lists
- lot-size restrictions for repetitive manufacturing
Supplementary Documentation - VERID 0001
Use
Procedure
Please enter the following data:
- either the number of the run schedule and the period of examination
- or the material number, the version, the selection key date and the period of examination.
Examples
Dependencies
Supplementary Documentation - VERID 0002
Use
Several run schedule headers can exist for one material and production version. The run-times of the individual RS headers, however, may not overlap. Therefore, the selection key date together with the material number and the production version can be used as selection criteria to explicitly identify one particular run schedule header.
Procedure
If you do not know the number of a RS header, you can select the one you are interseted in by entering the material, the version, and the selection key date.
Supplementary Documentation - VERID 0003
Use
You can use this method to select requirements that arise with regard to this production version.

Use
Procedure
Examples
Dependencies
You create the production versions for the material in the material master record.
You can only create a run schedule header if a production version has been maintained for the material.
You can only display possible entries if a production version has been entered for the material.
Supplementary Documentation - VERID 0010
Use
Procedure
Enter the production version you want to use to limit the selection.

Definition
Production version, used to select a new BOM or a new routing.
Dependencies
If you want to select a production version for master data selection, then you must also switch on the indicator New routing or New BOM depending on the data that you want to copy from the production version.
Supplementary Documentation - VERID 0140
Use
If several production versions are defined for the material to be manufactured, then the system specifies the production version that is used in this production order in this field.
Supplementary Documentation - VERID 0200
Definition
A key that identifies a production version for the recipe header material.
Production versions describe the various production techniques that can be used to produce a material. They determine the following:
- Which alternative BOMs to use
- Which plan or master recipe to use. Various plans can then be assigned to this plan or master recipe, depending on the planning level (detailed, rate-based or rough-cut planning)
- The period of time and lot size for which the production version is valid
Use
Production versions are used in requirements planning, repetitive manufacturing, process manufacturing and product costing in order to select the correct data for an order or a costing run.
Note
In the master recipe, you can store one specific production version for each assigned material. You must create all other production versions in the material master record (Work Preparation view) or the maintenance transaction of the production version.
Dependencies
The production version is a prerequisite for the maintenance of recipe-specific material data in the material list.
Supplementary Documentation - VERID 0201
Definition
Key identifying a production version for the BOM header material in the recipe.
Production versions describe the different production methods by which a material can be produced, and define the:
- Alternative BOM to be used.
- Plan or planning recipe to be used, whereby different plans can be assigned depending on the planning level (detailed, rate-based, rough-cut capacity planning).
- Period and lot-size range in which the production version is to be valid.
Use
If, when creating a production version, you specify a version here, the recipe will be assigned to this version as a detailed plan. However, you can edit the production version at a later date from the recipe header.
If, when changing a production version, you specify a version here, the system selects the planning recipe and the material or bill of material of this production version.
Dependencies
A production version is required before you can maintain recipe-specific material data in the material list.
