Definition

Specifies whether the system adds default values from the product attributes to the data from the origination system, when calculating or creating a loan.

Use

If you set this indicator, the system adds the fields with default values from the product that are included as product attributes in the product, but are not included in the message type from the origination system, and so have not been filled with data from the origination system.

  • You can only set this indicator for product types that are based on the following product categories:
    • Mortgage Loan (300)
    • Policy Loan (320)
    • General Loan (330)
  • In product types based on the product category Consumer Loan (340), the system always adds the default values from the product attributes to the data from the origination system automatically, regardless of whether or not you have set this indicator for this product types.

Dependencies

  • You need to have created one or more products for each product type for which you want to create loans using loan origination, regardless of whether or not you set this indicator.
  • In product types based on the product category Consumer Loan (340), you need to have created one or more products and assigned the relevant condition tables to them.

Example

The message type from the origination system does not contain the field VDARL-SBILK (Balance Sheet Indicator). However, in your organization, this field is required for product type 30A. The value for this field for this product type in your company is always 03 MORTGAGES, LAND CHARGE- AND ANNUITY CHARGE CLAIM.

You create a product HYP001 for product category 30A, and select the value 03 for the product attribute Balance Sheet Indicator. If you have set this indicator for the product type 30A, the system adds this field with the value from product HYP001 to all loans that are based on the product category 30A and have been created by way of loan origination.
