Definition
Indicates how the repayment of a loan changes in connection with a partial payoff.
- Shorten term, save end of term
- The term of the loan is recalculated to take account of the payoff. For repayment loans, the payoff reduces the loan term in comparison with the loan term without the payoff.
- When you activate the payoff, the system saves the term end for the loan in the condition header affected by the payoff.
- Keep same term, change repayment automatically
- Based on the loan term without the payoff, the system calculates a repayment change for repayment loans resulting in a new (reduced) payment installment. In this case, the term remains the same, despite the payoff.
- The repayment change is assigned an "effective from" date that corresponds with the start of the next repayment calculation period after the payoff due date. The repayment condition is created as a copy of the preceding repayment condition.
- When you activate the payoff, this condition item is assigned to the condition header affected by the payoff and saved.
- Note that the system may display messages indicating that repayments clash.
- If the repayment is changed automatically, the system automatically adjusts the corresponding condition each time you change the payoff due date.
- Shorten term, do not save end of term
- As above, except that the new term end for the loan is not saved in the condition header when the payoff is activated.
Note:
You cannot use this value for loans that are based on the product category Consumer Loans (340).
- Change repayment manually
- In this case, you can enter the "effective from" date, percentage rate, amount, and calculation base amount for the repayment change manually. However, the "effective from" date must not be before the payoff due date. The repayment condition is created as a copy of the preceding repayment condition.
- Note that the system may display messages indicating that repayments clash.
Note:
You cannot use this value for loans that are based on the product category Consumer Loans (340).
Dependencies
If the Full Payoff field is selected, the system ignores the value in this field.
