Definition
The proportional payments of a payoff are determined on the payoff due date. This involves all payment-relevant, condition-based flows that, contrary to the scheduled loan process flow, are interrupted by a change to the calculation base caused by the payoff (on the payoff due date).
In cases of a full payoff, you take account of the following:
- Proportional payments are calculated by the cash flow as if the end of the fixed period was reached by the payoff. This means that the condition components referring to proportional calculation are taken into account.
- The payment date of the proportional payments is shifted to the payoff payment date.
- Proportional repayment is suppressed by a simulated repayment suspension at the start of the calculation period.
In normal cases, the proportional payments are made up of the proportional (nominal) interest of the proportional charges.
The field above contains the balance of the proportional payments in contract currency.
In cases of a partial payoff, you take account of the following:
- The payment date of the proportional payments is not adjusted.
- Proportional payments can therefore not be included in the gross payoff amount (on the payoff due date).
Example
The payoff due date is 02/17/.., and the payment date is 02/19/... The conditions entered for the loan specify nominal interest, paid quarterly at the end of the quarter, for the calculation period (in which the payoff is made) from 01/01/.. to 03/31/.. with the due date 03/31/... .
In this case, proportional nominal interest is due from 01/01/.. to 17/02 ..as a result of the payoff. In cases of a full payoff, the payment date for the nominal interest would be adjusted to the 02/19/...
