Use
The rounding unit entered as a numerical value indicates the interval for the value to be rounded up/down.
Dependencies
In the master data for the loan, you can define the rounding unit or the rounding category in the condition header or in the detailed data for the condition. If you have set up the rounding unit and the rounding category in the condition header and have not made any settings in the conditions, the setting in the condition header is valid for all of the conditions. You can make default settings for the rounding unit and the rounding category in the IMG activity Company Code-Dependent Settings for the product type. These settings are currency-dependent. To make default settings in the conditions you use the new IMG activity Define Currency-Dependent Default Values for Condition Type.
Example
You want to round 23.03 CHF according to the principle of number rounding. The smallest unit of Swiss Francs is 5 centimes. This means that in order to round to an amount that can actually be paid, the rounding unit must be 0.05
Rounding unit: 0.05
Rounding category: Number rounding
=> Result: 23.05 CHF
Note: The rounding function for rounding to 5 centimes is only available in the country-specific solution for Switzerland.
