Definition

Together with the distribution model, the indicator controls whether change management is fundamentally active for outbound and inbound deliveries in the decentralized Warehouse Management system. You need to set the indicator in the central system and in the decentralized system.

Use

Set the indicator if you want to activate change management. You must also add the change methods in the distribution model in Customizing. For further information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) under Logistics Execution --> Decentralized WMS Integration --> Central Processing --> Distribution --> Generate Distribution Model.

Change management is only active when both prerequisites have been fulfilled. This means that you can switch off change management using this switch, without having to change the distribution model.

Important Note

Setting the indicator in only one of the two systems can lead to document inconsistencies. Therefore, make sure that the indicator has the same value in both systems.

Do not use the indicator to switch off change management in the decentralized system if the central system is not available. A special application transaction is available for this situation and can be executed in the decentralized system when needed.

For further information, see the emergency concept for the decentralized Warehouse Management system.
