Definition
This field defines delimiters which the system uses to determine the end of a field when it reads a bar code.
Use
In a compound bar code that contains a specific field of indefinite length, delimiters are used to mark the end of this field. Consequently, delimiters are superfluous in fields that have a pre-defined length.
