Definition

In addition to the fixed length or format characteristics of Application Identifiers (AI), you can also activate other checks or formats by using routines from the following list.

Use

• 001: Check digits according to modulo 10 procedure

  As it decodes an AI, the system checks that the last digit represents a check digit according to the modulo 10 procedure. The correct check digit is determined during coding.

• 002: Date in YYYYMMDD format

  The system checks that the coded value represents a valid date. Date entries in YYMMDD format are also acceptable.

• 003: Date in DDMMYYYY format

  Same as 002.
