Definition
Specifies a statistics group for this customer and helps determine which data the system updates in the logistics information system.
Use
You can assign statistics groups to each of the following:
- Item category
- Sales document type
- Customer
- Material
When you generate statistics in the logistics information system, the system uses the combination of specified statistics groups to determine the appropriate update sequence. The update sequence in turn determines for exactly which fields the statistics are generated.

Note
When you create an item in a document, the system determines the update group by using the following access:
- Organizational elements
- Customer statistics group
- Material statistics group
- Item statistics group
During this access the system searches for a combination of customer and material statistics groups. If it finds no statistics group entered for the customer, the system makes a second access and searches only for a material statistics group.

Procedure
Enter one of the values predefined for your system. You can specify, for example, that the update group should not be determined by customer but only by material.
