Definition

Specifies data types that are used or not used in the Enterprise Services Repository (ES Repository) system.

Use

The following data types are available for use in the ES Rep. system:

• Basic Global Data Type (BGDT)

  This data type refers to a single field.

• Aggregated Global Data Type (AGDT)

  This data type refers to a structure or a table that is already defined in ES Repository. The IDT is a grouping of elements that have a strong

  semantic relationship. An aggregated GDT represents a complex, business-related subject matter.

The Intermediate Data Type (IDT) refers to a structure or a table that is neither defined nor used as a data type in Enterprise Services Repository (ES Repository). The IDT is a grouping of elements that have

a strong semantic relationship.
