Documentation
Definition
Specifies if this is a synchronous or asynchronous signature process.
Use
Signature strategies can be executed as either synchronous or asynchronous, depending on the signature object.
- Synchronous Signature Process
Once started, a synchronous signature process must be continued until the end without interruptions. New functions and transactions cannot be called until the last required signature has been performed. If the signature process is interrupted before the end, then all previous signatures are saved, but are no longer valid for the signature process and must be repeated.
- Asynchronous Signature Process
For an asynchronous signature process, the signatories perform their signatures independently from one another. The signature process can be interrupted after every signature and can be continued at any point in time by the next signatory. You must enter a password in order to interrupt the signature process.
