Definition

Controls how the system reacts when you want to post a goods movement for a material that requires a serial number, in a storage location that uses the decentralized warehouse management system.

Use

If you set this indicator, the system lets you post goods movements for a material that requires a serial number, in a storage location that uses the decentralized warehouse management system. In this case, the system creates an inbound or outbound delivery and you enter the serial number in the transaction for changing inbound or outbound deliveries. The system does not display the window for entering the serial number.

If you do not set this indicator, the system prevents this kind of goods movement with an error message.

The indicator has no effect on the handling of serial numbers in inbound deliveries for purchase orders or outbound deliveries for sales orders.
