Use
What you enter here affects the following:

Determines how the quantities are rounded off and whether the quantity is optimized.
- How the plant quantities are calculated from the plant group quantity

- Allocation rules with quota category "Fixed quantity"
The quota (i.e. the quantity) always refers to the base unit of measure.
If the unit of measure used in an allocation table is not the same as the base unit, this indicator controls how the system rounds off when the quota is converted to a quantity (on the basis of the unit of measure used).
The numbers of decimal places defined for the order unit is taken into account during quantity optimizing.
Quantities are not rounded off in the same way as in the calculation of schedule line quantities, but are always rounded off to the order unit. This is, however, only carried out when the total quantity for the whole plant is not exceeded as a result of rounding off.
This guarantees that the follow-on documents generated from the allocation table contain quantities that meet the requirements of the unit of measure.
This indicator applies to both returns items and to non-returns items (standard items).
