Definition
Name of an ouput device in the SAP System, specified in the definition of the device. Users in the SAP System use this name to select the particular output device.
Maintaining the name: Enter a name you choose to identify the output device in the SAP System. If you have many devices, it makes sense to use a naming convention for them. This makes it easier to select devices in spool administration as you can use an input pattern.
Processing an output request: Specify the SAP name of the ouput device that you want to use to execute your output request. To display a list of available devices, use Possible entries. To set a default printer choose System -> User profile -> Own data -> Defaults.
Selecting spool requests: Specify the SAP name of an output device to display a list of the spool requests for that device. Use Possible entries for a list of available devices.
