Definition
This field indicates the status of the SAP NetWeaver BW Accelerator index for the hierarchies of this InfoObject:
- Without BWA Index: This InfoObject does not have a BW Accelerator index, that is, it cannot store its hierarchies downstream and redundantly in the BW Accelerator. Queries read the hierarchies from the tables of the InfoProvider. This is the default setting for InfoObjects.
- With BWA Index: This InfoProvider has a BW Accelerator index, so it can store its hierarchies downstream and redundantly in the BW Accelerator. Queries can profit from the BW Accelerator technology. Hierarchies that have not been updated in the BW Accelerator must still be read from the tables of the InfoProvider. An InfoProvider has this status if, for example, you call transaction RSD1 using the menu Utilities -> Hierarchies -> Maintain BW Accelerator to execute the BWA Wizard and create an index in the BW Accelerator for this InfoObject.
