Definition

Determination of the anticipated memory space requirement for a table in the database.

You can choose a category (0 to 4) for your table. Each of these categories is assigned to a particular size of memory area in the database. When a table is created, an initial space is reserved in the database; if you later need more space for the data entered, memory space can be added according to the four categories chosen here.

Press F4 on field Size Categories in order to see the number of data records that can be included in a table with a particular size category without complications (such as causing a need for the reorganization of the table if the memory space prescribed by the size category is exceeded)
