Definition
This is merchandise that a customer returns because she is not happy with it.
Use
Because returns from customers normally have to be inspected, they are posted initially to blocked stock returns where they are not subject to valuation or unrestricted use.
Procedure
If the result of the inspection is that the stock can be released for unrestricted use, you enter this conclusion as a separate step. Valuation then takes place for the goods received.
