Definition

The register operand must be maintained for all rates that are permissible for registers.

The register operand characteristics control the handling of all registers that are billed with this rate:

  • The weighting key specified in the register operands is used for extrapolation and for proration of the meter readings.
  • The units of measurement of the register operands determine the units of measurement used for billing. This may be different from the unit of measurement used for meter reading.
  • Rates with register operands from the operand category QUANT can only bill consumption registers. The rate for watt registers may be used for the operand category DEMAND. The following additional fields are used for processing measured demand values for register operands of the category DEMAND:
  • The register operand must be used as an input operand in at least one rate step. The variant program belonging to the step is supplied with the meter reading results of all registers that are allocated to this rate in billing.
