Definition
If various publications are booked by a booking unit, the reference publication determines from which publication the booking unit should "inherit attributes".
Examples
If you make prices for a booking unit dependent on the issue variant types of the booked issues, in cases of doubt the reference edition of the reference publication is used on the corresponding publication date.
