Definition

Means that you must manually trigger the calculation of the sample size for the inspection lot.

Use

• For an inspection with a plan or material specification, the sample size is calculated on the basis of the sampling procedures that are defined in the inspection plan or in the material specification at inspection characteristic level.
• For an inspection without a plan, either a 100% inspection is performed or the sample size is calculated on the basis of an inspection percentage.
  For this, you must set the indicator for a 100% inspection or define an inspection percentage in the inspection setup of the material master (Quality Management view).

Procedure

This indicator is set by the system for the inspection lot.
Whether this is required is determined by processing the inspection setup of the material master.
