Definition

This status indicates the processing status of the inspection catalog.

Dependencies

  • You cannot reference a master record with status 1 (being created).
  • Before you can reference a master record, you must first release it by setting its status to 2 (released).
  • You should not reference master records with status 3 (can no longer be used) These master records may, however, already be in use.
  • Master records with status 4 (deletion flag) are deleted during the next archiving run. The system then checks whether the master record is still being used. If the master record is not referenced, it is deleted. If it is referenced, it cannot be deleted.

Use

Procedure

Before you can create a reference to a master record, you must release it by setting the status to 2 (released for use).

If a master record should no longer be used, you have to set the status to 3 (blocked for use) or 4 (marked for deletion).
You can only delete a master record, if a reference has not existed to this master record (the usage indicator is not set).

If you want to delete code groups or selected sets online, that were already used (the usage indicator is set), you can correct the usage indicator for unused objects.
To do this, select from the basic data menu

  • Catalog -> Code groups -> Check usage
  • Catalog -> Selected sets -> Check usage
