Use
If you flag a commitment item as statistical, it is only updated statistically. This means:
- The commitment item cannot be budgeted directly.
- Postings that contain that commitment item are updated but do not take part in active availability control.
- The postings can be shown separately in reporting.
Procedure
Examples
In the local government area, this indicator is used to integrate the collective expenditure in the overall budget. If the commitment item is managed as an FM account assignment in the collective expenditure (collective expenditure role 2), this commitment item must be statistical.

Commitment Items in the FM Area/Fiscal Year
When you create a commitment item within a commitment item hierarchy, the system automatically adopts the indicator of the higher-level commitment item.
Changing the Statistics Indicator
Setting or removing the indicator in the master record of the highest commitment item in a commitment item hierarchy is only possible if you have not yet assigned a budget for that item. For the lower-level commitment items, the system makes the change automatically.
