Definition

Here, you decide how additional amounts and income-related expenses, that occur for a trip in travel expense accounting, are cleared.

You have the following options:

  • No clearing
  • Clearing within travel cost accounting only
    Only additional amounts and income-related expenses that occur for travel expenses will be cleared
  • Clearing with meals accounting and travel cost accounting (not
    cross-expense category)
    Additional amounts and income-related expenses that occur in meals
    accounting and travel cost accounting will be cleared, however this
    only takes place within the specific expense types and not across the
    different expense types.
  • Cross-expense category clearing
    Additional amounts and income-related expenses will be cleared for (and across) all expense categories.

Note

For cross-expense category clearing of additional amounts and income-related expenses you must create a tax-free clearing wage type for each wage type used for additional amounts. You do this in the Customizing activity Assign tax free wage types for additional amounts.
