Documentation
Definition
In this field, you specify when the Balance to be compared is determined.
Use
The checkpoint can be determined in day processing or in final processing, depending on whether you have specified a day or period balance as the balance to be compared.
If you use a day balance, you can choose between the following times:
Daily: The value of the time type is read from table TES.
End of time evaluation period: The time evaluation period as specified under Determine time evaluation periods.
End of payroll period: The payroll period that is valid at the time of the employee's evaluation.
End of working week: Value from the Planned Working Time infotype (0007); the working week is defined in the Define working weeks step.
End of period: Individually defined period; the period parameter is specified in the Define period parameters in Customizing for Payroll.
If you use a period balance, the checkpoint must always be at the end of a time evaluation period (for example, a time at the end of every third time evaluation period).
