Definition
Many POS systems transfer the sale of a means of payment in sales IDocs not as a payment method but as an item. This is particularly true of means of payment such as vouchers. If, on the other hand, goods are bought using these means of payment, they are transferred as a payment method. The different way of treating the means of payment may lead to inconsistencies in the ERP system.
If the switch is active, the current sales item is converted to a payment method for billing. As a result, billing cannot see that it relates to an item rather than a payment method. This means that the sale of means of payment, and the use of the means of payment to purchase goods are the same transaction from the point of view of Billing, and are only differentiated by the plus/minus sign.
