Definition
The shut down rule checkbox is used to indicate whether the shut down flat percentage is to be used when calculating annual leave payment for an employee with less than one year of service.
The flat percentages to be used when calculating annual leave payment under the shut down rule are:
- 6% for 3 weeks per year (based on 3/52 weeks)
- 8% for 4 weeks per year (based on 4/52 weeks)
- 10% for 5 weeks per year (based on 5/52 weeks)
