Definition
Specify the Universal Contribution Grouping for the Universal Contribution Type.
Universal Contribution Grouping is the grouping of employees based on similar contributions for a given Universal Contribution Type. You can define this grouping in one of the following ways:
- As parameter 4 of Other Statutory and Non-Statutory Deductions payroll function (INUCD)
- Through a subroutine, C_GET_UVGRP, in Other Statutory and Non-Statutory Deductions payroll function (INUCD). You can enter this subroutine in include PCBURZIN0.
- In table view Personnel area/subarea groupings (V_7IN0P_ALL) where the grouping is based on Personnel Area and Subarea grouping of employees. You can maintain the grouping here only for standard Universal Contribution Types, for example, LWF, ESI.
Note:
If you have maintained this grouping in more than one of the ways mentioned above, then the system determines the priority in the order listed above.
Use
This grouping is used to calculate the employee and employer contribution for the Universal Type.
Dependencies
Example
For the Universal Type LWF, the Universal Grouping is
- 1 for the employees working in Andhra Pradesh
- 2 for mployees working in Bihar
