Select this indicator if the marginal tax relief is applicable to the employee. In this case, the employee is taxed at the marginal percentage rate of income tax on taxable pay above their respective cut-off amounts. This marginal percentage rate is stored in the Marginal Rate of Tax % constant (TXRT3) of Payroll Constants table view (V_T511K).
Dependencies
The PAYE Upload Tax Credits report (HIEIPAYE) creates a new Tax Data Ireland infotype (0359) record for the employee and updates it with the tax credits and cut-off amounts for tax credits based on information from a diskette supplied by the Revenue Commission. If the Exemption Indicator is Y in the information supplied by the Revenue Commission, the report selects the Marginal Tax Relief indicator in the Tax Data Ireland infotype (0359) record for the employee.
