Definition

Indicator specifying the periods in which the material's consumption values and forecast values are managed.

Supplementary Documentation - PERKZ 0001

Use

You use the period indicator to specify the period for the evaluation of the stock and receipt statistics on the Period Statistics tab page. The system then determines the receipt and requirement quantities in the current period, next period, and the period after next, as well as the quantities that are already subject to delay.

Procedure

When you call the period statistics for the first time, the system uses the default period you specified in the evaluation profile for range-of-coverage data. However, you can also change the period manually:

  • For example, you can specify 'month'. The system then determines the receipt and requirement quantities for the next two months.
  • If you want the system to use planning calendars to determine the period, enter the required calendar in the neighboring Planning Calendar field.
  • If you want the system to evaluate the period using the fiscal period, define a fiscal year variant in the MRP material master.
