Definition

Specifies the time unit in which planning versions based on this information structure are stored in the system.

If the planning method is consistent planning or delta planning, this entry is mandatory.

If the planning method is level-by-level planning, this entry is optional. If you do not define a storage periodicity, the data is saved as it is displayed in the planning table.

Dependencies

If the storage periodicity is "posting period", you must also specify a fiscal year variant.

Moreover, if you use consistent planning and want to plan in several different time buckets (for example, 20 days + 4 weeks + 10 months), you must set 'P' as the storage periodicity. You create time bucket grids as part of a planning type.
