Definition
A 'Tick' in this Check Box signifies that ANY working day that would be applicable for the Absence Evaluation Scheme, but falls on a Public Holiday will be processed as Non-Qualifying, but will ALSO be processed as qualifying for a 'day in lieu'.
This Check Box can ONLY be used in conjunction with the tick in the check box that causes the employee's work schedule to be used to decide which days DO/DO NOT qualify for the Absence Evaluation Scheme and so WILL/WILL NOT reduce the employee's entitlement, if a days absence is entered for that day.
Example
An employee is absent on the first Monday in May. This would normally be a working day according to their work schedule, but as it is the May Day Public Holiday the day's absence DOES NOT reduce the employee's entitlement. However, the employer realises that the employee has 'lost' a day's holiday and so gives them that day as a 'day off in lieu'. These days are marked with the Valuation Rule in the following field so that they can be processed separately in payroll and also reported on.
